SOS-200 wastewater treatment facilities for Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk landfill to be upgraded
In pursuance of the State Programme of the Sakhalin Oblast «Providing the population of the Sakhalin Oblast with high-quality housing and communal services», approved by the Sakhalin Oblast Government Resolution No. 278 of 13.05.2013, the technological equipment of the Sewage Treatment System SOS-200, which was delivered «turnkey» and put into operation in 2018 by ST IG specialists, will be modernized in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
This is the largest wastewater treatment plant in the region with a capacity of 200 m3 per hour designed to treat wastewater from the waste treatment plant. The station is built on several treatment technologies, including mechanical, reagent, sorption, membrane and ion-exchange technologies, which makes it possible to achieve a degree of effluent suitability sufficient for discharge into fishery water bodies.
The environmental responsibility of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk’s management to stay in the rhythm of advances in environmental protection technologies will undoubtedly serve to preserve the unique ecology of Sakhalin Oblast.
