Another stage of expansion of ST Group’s machine park: a new SOLEX NL635ZF lathe

Safe Technologies IG continues to expand its machine park with high-tech equipment. A new horizontal CNC lathe SOLEX NL635ZF has been put into operation at ST IG‘s facilities. It is used for machining of medium and large parts: disk-shaped, cylindrical, conical, stepped and other types of bodies of rotation, as well as for machining of internal and external threads with different pitch and profile.

The machining range assumes a maximum machinable workpiece diameter of 630 mm and a maximum turning length of 1500 mm. Automated control is based on the reliable Fanuc 0i-TF CNC system.

Excellent dynamic performance and precise movements are ensured by precision ball screws and rigid guides. Low vibration and high machining accuracy are achieved by the high-torque servo motor, while the 2-speed gearbox increases torque, which is essential for power machining. The eight-position turret has high rigidity and tool change speed.

Expansion of the machine park allows ST IG to independently manufacture process equipment components for various industries, which eliminates time costs and ensures high quality control of products.
