Safe Technologies IG presented import-substituting projects at the conference on The Development of Woodworking Industry Market and Initiative of Chemical Companies for The High Quality Furniture Production
The Development of Woodworking Industry Market and Initiative of Chemical Companies for The High Quality Furniture Production conference took place as a part of Furniture-2016 exhibition on November 22, 2016 at the Expocentre (Moscow). This conference is a traditional annual event, dedicated to the problem of synthetic resin use in woodworking and furniture industries. This time the representatives of successfully renewing paint and coatings industry in Russia attended the conference.
In his report Deputy Head Sales of the Safe Technologies IG, L. Grauman listed possibilities that the company could offer to wood works and furniture makers. First, one names the innovative formaldehyde synthesis process on metal – oxide catalyst. Historically this process was at the very beginning of the company and it underwent numerous enhancement ever since. Paint and coating experts were interested in pyrolysis waste treatment plants of Safe Technologies make that are capable of coping with HC containing waste with low impact on the environment. The formic acid production plant also caused much interest. Demand for formic acid in wood working industry is comparatively low (it used as a catalyst in resin preparation), but since it is not produced in Russia at all, the Safe Technologies as always can offer some import substitution technology.
Reports were followed by lively discussion, in the course of which advices by leading resin experts were given and experience traded.
