Safe Technologies Inc begins shipments of the equipment to EU

The end of November at the Safe Technologies production site was marked by successful hydraulic tests of the equipment, which constituted a part of the UFC-85/methanol free formalin plant with the capacity of 100 000 MTPY destined to Lithuania, ACHEMA AB.

The actual shipment is scheduled for mid-December. As it was announced earlier, Safe Technologies Inc. won this bid for UFC/formaldehyde plant designing and construction from leading European suppliers and manufacturers.

Due to the fact that the furnished equipment is subject to EU Directive 2014/68/EU, the certification was conducted of welding works by the EN ISO 3834 code and welders by EN ISO 14732. The in-house non-destructive testing lab was assessed and approved by EN ISO/IEC 17025. The process was conducted by the TÜV Nord experts.

Hydraulic tests within ACHEMA project also were conducted under supervision of European experts. It is to be noted that during the tour over ST premises European expert highly appraised quality of other equipment destined to inner Russian projects.  The structure of ST manufacturing process, from incoming inspection of the materials to coating and packing, also got high marks by the guests. By their words, they had grounds for comparison due to their familiarity with other equipment manufacturing shops in Russia.
