Offshore Marintec Russia: Safe Technologies IG developments for shipbuilding industry
Safe Technologies Industrial Group participated in OFFSHORE MARINTEС RUSSIA 2016 — the business programme of the International professional exhibition-conference on shipbuilding and high-tech equipment development for the Arctic region and shelf exploration. The event was held by the order and under the auspices of the Russian government on October 4-7 in the maritime capital of Russia – St. Petersburg. Speakers for the ministry, representatives of industry academic community, leading oil and gas companies — more than 3000 professionals and experts attended the conference.
At present moment the development of infrastructure and arctic shelf exploration, where engineering support of shipbuilding has a driving force, is one of the innovative area of Fuel-and-Energy companies in Russia. In this regard, dependence on imports of Russian Navy is thrown into a sharp relief: foreign equipment, which eventually becomes unserviceable, needs an equivalent analogue. At the round table discussions on Comprehensive Development of maritime transport infrastructure in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation Safe Technologies IG has demonstrated its solutions of this problem by presenting the report Import substitution in shipbuilding. The processing equipment for the complex of loading and unloading works of petroleum products and LNG between tankers and tankages. Shipboard incinerators. Among the innovative company’s developments are marine loading arms, shipboard incinerators for waste utilization and the ice melting plant capable to eliminate the consequences of oil spills on ice.
In terms of sanctions, Safe Technologies IG was the first company that has developed the projects on loading arm technology for loading unloading of petroleum products and gases – the equipment that is different in structural element of a higher complexity. Design and technical specifications comply with all the requirements of OCIMF and international regulations.
Safe Technologies IG offers to consider LNG as an alternative fuel for the bunkering of the river crafts in particular. Filling by liquefied natural gas can be realized in two ways: conventional LNG ship fitting-out both from the shore-based terminal and from the bunker barge. The cryogenic equipment is the basic technological equipment to resolve these problems. Recall that today Safe Technologies IG is one of the few manufacturers of cryogenic tanks in Russia.
