JSC Sibmetachem launches new UFC/methanol production facility based on proprietary process by Safe Technologies IG

In the course of large scale retrofitting JSC Sibirskaya Metanolnaya Kompania (Sibir Methanol Company, Sibmetachem, affiliate of Vostokgazprom) fully installed and began commissioning process of the launches new UFC/methanol production facility based on proprietary process by Safe Technologies IG. Two new plants erected in the Contract limits have total capacity of 120 MTPY.

The process used in the Safe Technologies IG plants today has no rivals in Russia judging by its cost efficiency and the quality of the final product. It is enough to mention buffer capacity of the UFC produced by such plants, which amounts to 7-9 (compared to 12-16 of other manufacturers).

This quality of the UFC and methanol free formaldehyde solution, being the raw materials for synthetic resins is indispensable in the manufacturing of the chip boards and plywood of E 0.5 formaldehyde emission class, which is now required by the Russian legislation.

More than 10 plants are installed in Russia by Safe Technologies IG in Russia. These plants are fully Russian make that guarantees the Client independence from possibly sanctioned items or spare parts.

UFC absorbers are equipped with packing designed and made by Intarex Company, the member of the Safe Technologies IG.

Woodworks of the region will become main customers of the new facilities. The first stage of the facility is commissioned, launching of the second is awaited in the nearest future.
