Caspian Day finished by adoption of resolution

Caspian Day was celebrated on August 12-13, 2015 in Astrakhan. The representatives of governments, businesses, public and scientific organizations of the Caspian states attended the international forum for a discussion of the environmental problems of the Caspian Sea. The event was opened by a plenary session, where the Governor of the Astrakhan region Alexander Zhilkin gave welcoming speech.

The Caspian Sea is a unique biological system, contained a huge number of fish, including relic, birds. And it is important to preserve the sea clean and capable of providing the continuation of life in its biological diversity,’ the governor noted in his speech.

An extensive business program of the forum included a round table on environmental issues in the Caspian region. Caspian Green Standard conference brought the first results on the introduction of a uniform standard defining the environmental requirements for industrial enterprises of all littoral states.

Fascinating exhibition program was presented besides the traditional cluster of business guests and participants of the forum. Two unique photo exhibitions Caspian 360 and A View from Space of astronaut Sergey Krikalev were opened for visitors. An exhibition of innovations was held in Astrakhan Kremlin. During the days of the forum sturgeon fingerlings were released in Volga, spectacular launch of balloons and Folk Fair took a place. Rivers Flow Into The Sea action were related to coastland cleaning on the banks of the Volga River.

Safe Technologies Industrial Group became the sponsor of Caspian Day in 2015. ‘The company specializes in the production of environmental equipment and is ready to contribute to the preservation of the nature of the Caspian Sea,’ the representative of Industrial Group said in his speech. ‘Support measures aimed at protecting the environment is a part of the environmental policy pursued by the company.’

At the exhibition, Safe Technologies presented its own solutions to preserve the environment of the Caspian region: Thermal Decomposition Plant UTD-2-200, designed for oil production companies and refineries. This development was marked by the letter of appreciation of the Governor, for significant contribution to the solution of environmental problems of the Caspian Sea.

The company’s stand was visited by the government delegation headed by Alexandr Zhilkin, head of the fund Clean Sea Vasiliy Bogoslovskiy, representatives of industry and numerous visitors.

At the end of the business program of the forum, the participants discussed and adopted a resolution on the Caspian Day 2015. Safe Technologies Industrial Group has proposed to apply the environmental equipment, in particular, Thermal Decomposition Plant and Waste Thermal Treatment Facility for elimination of sludge pits, waste oil utilization in refineries and production sites in the framework of the transition to pitless drilling.
