Safe Technologies Group at SPIGF-2022: New Challenges and New Solutions (VIDEO!)

On September 13-16, 2022 St. Petersburg hosted the XI St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, an annual event held under the auspices of Gazprom that brings together companies and organizations involved in gas production, transportation and processing. This year’s SPIGF was significantly different from last year’s one: there were almost no major international equipment manufacturers officially presented at the exhibition stands.  However, the forum showed a radical expansion of Russian equipment supply and the growth of import substitution.

Forum business program included meetings, round tables and sections work. The delegate of Safe Technologies IG took part in the work of the section «Compressor equipment: industry development prospects in the new challenges». The general conclusion is that Russia has practically all the compressors the gas industry needs. Russian enterprises are able to provide all the phases of production, from the calculation of compressors for any tasks to the manufacturing of products with 90% localization, including body castings. Such enterprises as RUMO JSC, Orel Compressor Plant LLC, Krasnodar Compressor Plant LLC, Chelyabinsk Compressor Plant LLC, HMS Group JSC and a number of others produce compressors.

Today Russia also produces cryogenic valves which used to be exclusively imported. Regulator NGO manufactures valves of different types and sizes for the cryogenic industry — needle and seat, actuated and manual, threaded, flanged or welded.

At the forum Safe Technologies Group presented its proven and customer-operated solutions for transferring liquids (loading/unloading stands), a complex gas refueling station dispensing all types of gas fuel to the consumer, a metal processing machine made by the TBS Machine-Tool Plant (part of ST Group).

However, despite the high utilization of production capacities, the Industrial Group, always working at the forefront of import substitution, is actively engaged in the development of innovative technological solutions for other types of products.
