Ministry of Industry and Trade Conference: the largest manufacturers of equipment for handling MSW
On September 1, Safe Technologies Industrial Group (ST IG) took part in a video conference organized by the Department of Metallurgy and Materials of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. The purpose of the event was to acquaint the regional authorities with the products of the largest Russian manufacturers of equipment for MSW utilization.
The need to study the Russian market of environmental equipment and options for further cooperation of its manufacturers with the Russian regions (investment contracts, public-private partnership, etc.) has arisen for a number of reasons. From 2020, environmental legislation on improper handling of municipal waste is toughened, and Russian regions will switch to a new system of waste management (collection and recycling through regional operators). Also, in accordance with the draft Waste Treatment, Utilization and Decontamination Industry Development Strategy for the period up to 2030, a high level of localization and import independence of production and technical complexes for waste management is forecasted.
Safe Technologies IG presented the technological solutions of its own development:
- Incineration complexes for utilization of industrial waste of any fractional composition (municipal solid waste, medical waste, waste from water treatment facilities);
- Thermal destruction unit TDP-2 for processing of organic fraction as a part of MSW (plastic waste, old car tires, rubber waste, electronic waste);
- Wastewater treatment systems and landfill leachate stations;
- Equipment for catalytic purification of industrial emissions SafeCAT.
