Landfill leachate and industrial effluents purification systems

Environmental pollution caused by industrial wastewater and landfill leachate is one of the most pressing environmental problems. Complex composition of these fluids requires careful selection of cleaning methods. Today, however, the existing technologies are capable of purifying wastewaters of hazardous industries to the quality of water suitable for commercial fishing activities. The company Osmotics (a part of the Safe Technologies Industrial Group) designed a wastewater treatment plant, which effectively copes with the water pollution caused by chemical, food, electroplating industries, and the MSW landfills filtrate.

Wastewater treatment plant of Osmotics make, brand name LPS, depending on the needs of the customer are manufactured with capacity up to 1000 m³/day. LPS  is based on combined treatment principle that brings together the traditional mechanical and chemical cleaning methods (mechanical filtration, reagent oxidation, precipitation, ion exchange, sorption) and purification techniques powered by membrane technology (reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration and microfiltration). The combination of cleaning methods is determined by the individual project requirements (according to the quantity and quality indicators of incoming and purified water, and specific sanitation and location conditions).

Osmotics wastewater treatment plant is made of metal frame modules mounted in a single enclosure. The plant is equipped with a ventilation system, heating system, water supply and sewarage system. The facility is shipped in the form of individual modules of high level of prefabrication to the customer premises, which enables putting the plant into operation promptly.

The modular structure has several advantages: production units can be easily added or removed thus adapting the station to the new conditions, for example, in the case of changes in the composition of water treated.

All the plants are equipped with automatic control system to enhance safety features. It does not require human interference during operation and can be supervised remotely.
